WABI SABI PETS ::: WABISABI PETS ::: WABI SABI DOGS & CATS
Wabi Sabi
Soulful, Comforting, and Beautifully Imperfect.
"Wabi-sabi pets" is dedicated to the idea that every pet is special. It is a tribute to the deep spiritual bond that exists between people and their pets.
What does the term "Wabi-Sabi" mean?
The term "Wabi-Sabi" is derived from a zen-inspired, Japanese design aesthetic which celebrates the beauty of imperfection and change. It defies conventional beauty, and conformity. It's not about being fashionable or trendy. It is a beauty of things modest and humble. Wabi-Sabi embraces the impermanence of the physical form; while at the same time, it seeks to preserve the "essence" of an object, recognizing that this object becomes more precious with time due to the significant memories it evokes in our lives.
Wabi-Sabi Pets, true to the essence of this Zen perspective, celebrates the uniqueness and individuality of our pets. There is no standard, or convention which defines beauty. Beauty, instead, is about them, and their special relationship with us. It's not about conforming to any "ideal." Our spiritual bond grows deeper with our pets over time. Their bodies may age, but their spirit is enduring; our attachment to them grows stronger. Even though, there is an impermanence to life, our deep affection for them outlasts their mortality.
Wabi-Sabi pets reflects the idea that the spiritual connection that we have with our pets transcends both time and space. At it's core, it is a philosophy which embraces the ethic that all our beloved pets have souls and that their lives have meaning and truth.
